The 68th edition of the historic Art Exhibition will take place in Rome, in Piazza San Silvestro, from September 27 to October 1, 2023. Since 1990, with two open-air editions held annually in spring and autumn, the event has become a point of reference for both nationally and internationally recognized artists, as well as for selected proposals from emerging talents.
Art lovers regard it as an established part of the city’s cultural scene—a place to immerse themselves in art and its beauty. The event attracts a large audience of visitors, both Italian and international, from all over the world. Over the years, the exhibition has transformed some of Rome’s most beautiful historic squares—among them Piazza di Spagna, Piazza della Repubblica, and Piazza San Silvestro—into open-air art galleries. Supported from the very beginning by the patronage of numerous institutions—including the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, the Lazio Region, the Province of Rome, and the Department of Cultural Policies of the City of Rome—the exhibition was officially recognized in 2009 as a Historical Association Event by Dr. Umberto Croppi. The inaugurations have always featured esteemed guests of honor, including Great Masters of Art, internationally renowned critics, publishers, intellectuals, figures from the world of entertainment, journalists, and politicians.
The exhibition, organized with individual mini-pavilions, will also feature artist Stefania Pinci, presenting previously unseen works that are part of her latest artistic development—now marked by her signature “Pictorial Mosaic Tile,” a distinctive element that makes her painting style truly unique.
From an interview with the artist, we share an excerpt related to the Art Exhibition:
“Since the early 1990s, I have taken part in the Exhibition, which has brought me personal satisfaction both in terms of critical recognition and sales—especially abroad, but also in Italy.” Today, I serve on the Association’s Board as a Council Member. The Board is composed of President Arch. Lucilla Labianca, Vice President Gene Pompa, and Council Member Antonio Gandossi. I invite you to visit the Exhibition, which is freely open to the public with continuous hours from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
