Adriana Montalto: an artistic journey between memory, matter, and spirit.
Adriana Montalto, born in Caltagirone, has always shown a strong inclination for the humanities, which led her to first graduate in Law at the University of Palermo and later obtain a diploma in Interior Architecture at the Academy of Applied Arts in Milan. Her artistic career is characterized by a constant expressive search, which spans painting, sculpture, and installations.
Her exhibition journey is filled with prestigious participations. She has exhibited at Palazzo Borghese and the Eleuteri Gallery in Rome, at the Marconi Conference Center in Alcamo, and has participated in multiple editions of the Rome Triennale of Visual Arts. Among the most significant experiences, her presence at the 56th Venice Art Biennale in the Guatemala National Pavilion stands out, as well as her participation in traveling exhibitions at prestigious venues such as the Visconteo Sforzesco Castle in Novara, the Torre delle Arti in Bellagio, and the Palazzo della Cancelleria Vaticana in Rome.
The artistic language of Adriana Montalto.
Montalto’s work stands out for its deep dialogue between matter, memory, and spirituality. Her bronze and metal sculptures carry a universal poetics that celebrates the human being in its most intimate essence. The dualism between body and soul emerges strongly in her creations, as well as the concept of rebirth, embodied in her famous butterfly installation, presented at the Venice Biennale.
In painting, Montalto moves between three distinct themes: the vibrant chromaticism of Arab and African markets, the portrayal of modern metropolises dominated by skyscrapers and solitude, and a series of intense female portraits that explore introspection and the psychology of the individual. Her work with metal also reflects an architectural sensitivity, where geometry transforms into visual language, elevating the material into pure abstraction.
A must-see exhibition for contemporary art lovers.
“Beyond the Infinite” presents itself as an immersive journey through the multiple expressions of Adriana Montalto’s art. The exhibition will offer visitors the opportunity to connect with an artistic universe that blends symbolism, narrative, and material exploration, allowing for deep reflections on the human condition and the relationship between the individual and transcendence.
For Stefania Pinci, this exhibition represents a further step in enhancing her space as a high-level cultural hub, capable of attracting prominent artists and critics from the contemporary scene.
