Crickets and hills
The artwork depicts a typically Tuscan landscape. The warm colors and the sense of tranquility lead us back to a hot summer afternoon: silence fills our senses, and the shrill song of cicadas almost lulls us. There is a clear contrast between the still, unchanging landscape and the mosaic that energetically “contaminates” the sky with its cross-marked pieces. The artwork is created with oil paints enriched with natural pigments. Overlay of stained-glass colors enclosed by leadwork. Gold leaf inlays.
